Briggs Equipment UK are committed to supporting local charities and community projects, and as part of that commitment have recently donated a Hyster J1.8XNT to award winning social enterprise food business Community Food Enterprise Limited (CFE).

​Community Food Enterprise (CFE) carried out a 2 (two) weeks pilot in with 10 Costa Stores in 5 (five) East London boroughs comprising of Newham, Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Tower Hamlets.

It was when Eric Samuel’s mother was admitted to Newham General Hospital that his eyes were opened to food poverty in the East End.

The confiscated jars and their contents are not wasted. They are being donated by London City airport to local charity Community Food Enterprise, for distribution to smaller charities in local communities.
