Like most airports, the security department at London City Airport is required to follow a strict set of guidelines set by the governing body, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Due to these strict rules, the team are obligated to confiscate items from passengers that do not fit the requirements – i.e. liquids, gels and pastes over 100ml.
