Our aim is to continue to deliver a first class and up-to-date consultancy and support services to those working in the community food sector or interested in the issues surrounding food access.

As one of the leading community food access projects in the country, CFE is frequently put forward as a model of best practice and is often cited in case studies. Leading academics cite CFE in their presentations on community food projects.

We share and disseminate good practice widely. Eric Samuel, CFE’s Chief Executive Officer is seen by many (including leading academics) as one of the leading authorities in implementing community food projects. He is also cited as one of the UK great social entrepreneurs in the book ‘Everyday Legends – The Ordinary People Changing our World: The story of 20 great UK social Entrepreneurs’.

CFE is nationally respected and has an excellent track record in the delivery of effective and far reaching community food access programmes in a variety of formats to meet the complex needs of people within hard-to-reach communities.

Recently consultancy work has seen CFE commissioned by a number of Primary Care Trusts in London to, inter alia, conduct needs assessments on the viability of establishing social food outlets in food desserts.
